FAQ - Your questions, our answers - updated with your latest questions on 10/22/2023

Do I have to pay immediately when I subscribe?

No. During the subscription period, we do not collect any money. No transfers are to be made at the moment No bank card is charged.

Can I pay in installments?

Yes, you can pay in 3 installments. If you order at least 2 wagons or more, you will be able to pay for your wagons over a period of 3 consecutive months. See the conditions on the subscription form.

Why don't you go through a crowdfunding platform like "Ulule"?

For several reasons :

-This type of platforms are mainly aimed at the general public who will have little or no interest in our project which is aimed at a passionate amateur clientele, most of whom we know.

-They offer a beautiful presentation and beautiful content for a fee (+5 to 8%) which is quite normal since they provide a service. We prefer to invest these significant amounts in the project to offer you very detailed models.

-Another disadvantage and not the least for the subscriber, for payments by bank card, it is immediate, you have to pay the subscription amount when committing without knowing if it will be successful and without the possibility of payment in several installments.

-Finally the objectives pre-defined at launch can be modified according to the needs of the project leader.

-And there is no more guarantee than what we offer you.

What material will the guardrails and ladders be made of?

As on our refrigerated wagons, the guardrails are made of metal and the ladder is made of the same plastic.

A resistant plastic while being flexible to handling.

Why subscribe what are the advantages?

The advantages are multiple:

-Contribute to advancing 0 at an affordable price in France with typically French equipment,

-Help the producer to partially finance manufacturing,

-Reassure the producer about the quantities to be produced and the good direction of the project,

-And a significant point for you future subscriber, obtaining discounted prices to thank you for your trust and your commitment.

A few days after the presentation of our new wagon proposal we can already announce that 20% of the objective has been achieved, i.e. 40 wagons out of 200.

Fans brought us their subscription forms directly to the Chambery show, which gave us the opportunity to meet them and discuss with them.

Other subscriptions arrived by email.

Thank you to those who have already sent us their subscription.

Don't wait until the last minute to subscribe.

We hope to exceed 200 models in subscription and do as well if not better than the refrigerants who had a score of 400 models in subscription.

This will allow us to move forward faster and be able to offer you other things...

We appreciated the enthusiasm of enthusiasts towards this model which was unanimously chosen.

It can be used individually as well as in complete trains, on small lines as well as on large towed lines on the hook of all motor vehicles (or almost) from eras 3 to 4 and has circulated in the countries bordering France.

Frangeco or B. Richard? This wagon was originally a design by B. Richard who was the first to mass-produce them from 1953.

Subsequently, companies like Frangeco obtained licenses for the manufacture of the same type of wagon which may have differences in certain accessories.

We offer you models that allow you to accurately reproduce Eras III and IV with chassis conforming to these eras including unified handcuff springs, Unified OCEM U1a type axle boxes, a brake cylinder with triple valve, etc. , etc.

At the time, many series of new wagons did not include any pneumatic braking system.

An essential model of the French railway landscape and our European neighbors.

If you have photos of real models, do not hesitate to send them to us, it may give ideas...

We expect you at the Bourges show on November 11 and 12 on the Haxo Model stand and at RailExpo in Dreux from November 24 to 26 on our Rail 43 stand (P49 located in E18)

To date, 50% of the objective has been achieved, i.e. 100 wagons out of 200.

Thank you to subscribers for having already reached half of the goal.

Following various questions from enthusiasts regarding wagons without brake equipment.

Here is what we decided. After careful consideration, discussions with several amateurs, your suggestions presented here and so as not to create "unbearable" suspense for too long, we have decided that ultimately all models whatever the era, decoration, version will be delivered with complete brake equipment, cylinder, linkages, shoes, etc.

This will simplify things for everyone as well as for manufacturing.

Those who ultimately prefer versions without brakes (yes, if there are any), will only have to dismantle the equipment originally installed on the models.

Which shouldn't be too complicated and I'll explain how to do it.

So all wagons will be delivered with brake equipment.

We modify orders in this direction unless you advise otherwise.

To date, 75% of the objective has been achieved, i.e. 150 wagons out of 200. Thank you to subscribers for this great progress.

This participatory subscription campaign was launched a little over 3 weeks ago now.

New challenge: reach 200 subscriptions for the next weekend so that we can announce during the RailExpo show that the objective has been reached and therefore the effective launch of this wagon!

We will therefore already be able to launch the order and study of the model with our manufacturer from December.

The decorations to personalize the models will be water decals.

Degree of difficulty of installation: soak for a few seconds in water and put in place.

To facilitate installation, the decoration will be the entire inscription paving stone bearing the registration and additional inscriptions of this location rather than just the registration number which can be difficult to put in place correctly.

For the frame corner strips, actually a little brush stroke on the unnecessary ones should not present too much difficulty.

For those who prefer transfers and are able to use them, you can contact Haxo Model to have them made to order. We already offer 19 main references of this wagon with the possibility of offering certain models in 10 versions (5 braked, 5 unbraked) in order to vary a train or a cut. Which represents 101 variations of this model plus the version without decoration! Unprecedented on this scale.

Apart from this installation technique by the amateur of personalized numbering, it is impossible to ask the manufacturer to make so many variations in very small quantities.

For example, some amateurs wish to create a train by mixing the CTC decorations but with different registration numbers, the same with Storionne and the Grands Moulins d'Arenc, etc.

We have a minimum quantity to respect per reference which already requires investments greater than those normally requested given the number of different decorations that we wanted to offer you to succeed in putting this model at an affordable price on the rails of the French 0.

I think that this solution of decorations to install is a good compromise that is simple to implement by the amateur and which will allow this model to see the light of day and to please you by composing your oars as you wish.

Hello everyone.

The B. Richard grain wagon has entered its study phase with our manufacturer.

Let's come back to the attribution of the name of the manufacturer of this wagon model.

As I have already written earlier in this thread, the manufacturer of this wagon model is indeed B. Richard in St Denis d l'Hôtel from 1953.

This cannot be a Frangéco construction as I was able to read recently in a book.

In fact, the Frangéco entity emerged from the merger of the Compagnie Générale de Construction (CGC) and the Compagnie Française de Matériel de Chemin de Fer (CFMCF) in...1957!

Frangeco was absorbed in 1970 by the ANF, which separated in 1973 in the face of difficulties in the rail market.

It seems difficult to me to make wagons when one doesn't exist!

For his part, B. Richard was taken over by Cadoux in 1962 until 1989.

B. Richard, then Cadoux, will be the specialist in powder wagons for several decades with the development of various designs and development of accessories such as sliding hatches or opening hoods for loading accompanied by the filing of several patents. manufacturing.

These are still used on the generations of bogie grain wagons from the 70s/80s and even 90s.

If the skeptics still need proof, here is the manufacturer's plate of one of the wagons which were at Coolus and which are unfortunately scrapped to this day. A wagon from the first series. (Photo Pielin)

TREMIES COOLUS 51 046.jpg

Frangéco built 2-axle grain wagons very close in appearance to those of B. Richard, perhaps under license from the latter in view of its resemblance, but there does not seem to have been many series of this model left home.

This is what a Frangeco looks like. It strongly resembles a B. Richard but we quickly find many differences between the 2 constructions, as can be seen by comparing the photos of this model with the B. Richard below.

This is what I wanted to say on this subject in order to restore the truth about this model.

As we progress in the production of the Rail 43 grain wagon, we will open a new subject on "Manufacturing monitoring" as we did for the refrigerant.

See you soon for the rest of this project which is coming to fruition.
