The real model

Built from 1952, the Y 2100, 2200 and 2300 family announces the unification of SNCF shunters. These machines will replace a "small" fleet of very disparate shunters inherited from the old networks. They also replace the steam shunting engines with their numerous series of 030 and 040 dedicated to these obscure but essential tasks. Although similar in appearance, the machines in this family of "small" shunters of less than 30 tons, have many differences clearly visible to slightly trained eyes.

Apart from the mechanical side that we will not see much in modeling, the bodies have clearly visible differences, starting with the number of side windows in the cabin; 3 on the Y2100s versus a large sliding window on the other models, and rubber seals around the windows, the hoods of different sizes, the front ventilation grille, tall and wide on the Y2100s, tall but narrow on the Y2200s and a simple hole for the Y 2321 to 2340s, the vents on the hood panels, with or without and other small details like the layout of the cabin, etc, etc.

The Y 2100 series will be built by BDR from 1952.

The Y 2201 to 2320 series will be built by Moyse et Decauville from 1956.

The Y 2321 to 2340 series will be built by Decauville from 1960.

These machines are used for shunting in depots, workshops, and freight stations, but they are also capable of running on the line with a light load to provide service trains or the delivery of one or two wagons to a particular junction thanks to their speed of 50 km/h.

They are distributed across all SNCF regions.

These machines will have a great career within the SNCF, the first reformed were at the end of the 70s.

After reform, some of these cute little shunters began a new career either in private companies ensuring the shunting of wagons on their branch line or in construction companies or still in the service of the SNCF but now considered as tools, the locma generally in the workshops. Some still officiate there today.

The scale model We have chosen to offer you these small shunters because they can be integrated into large networks as well as appear on a small diorama to ensure the shunting of wagons for long hours on a small surface.

An ideal model to start in scale 0.

A shunter a few wagons to get started, it's really great.

Some characteristics: The parts entering into the composition of this model will use several materials according to their destination and use;

-plastic metal and even photoengraving to represent the radiator ventilation grilles or the running boards:

-Injected plastic body,

-Metal chassis; -2 drive axles, one with suspension;

-Spring buffers;

-Hitch support for Lenz hitch or functional screw hitch, as in reality;

-Fitted and illuminated cabin;

-Functional front and rear headlights;

-Faithful decoration according to the periods and versions

The models will be delivered in analog version but a pre-equipment with plate and standardized socket will allow the easy installation of a decoder, or even a sound decoder with space provided for the loudspeaker.

A digital option is also planned.

The proposed decorations cover all periods from the origins to the end-of-career version in Locma or private companies.

To thank you for your trust and involvement, we offer the models at the following prices for analog versions:

The estimated base price for analog versions when the models are released is: €398.90 (€332.42 excluding VAT)

- 1 copy = €378.90 (€315.75 excluding VAT)

- 2 copies = €359.00 (€299.17 excluding VAT) each = €718.00 (€598.34 excluding VAT)

- 3 copies = €339.10 (€285.58 excluding VAT) each = €1017.30 (€847.75 excluding VAT)

- 4 copies = €319.10 (€265.92 excluding VAT) each = €1276.40 (1036.68 € HT)

- 5 copies = 299.20 € (249.33 HT) each = 1496.00 € (1246.67 HT)

The prices indicated in parentheses (HT - Excluding Tax) are only for enthusiasts living outside the EEC and for models that will be shipped. For residents outside the EEC, transfer fees may apply in addition, they will be paid when the models are made available.

Depending on the number of machines you want, a payment facility is possible.

For one machine, payment in two installments without fees is possible by check (x2) or by transfer over a period of two consecutive months.

From 2 machines, we offer you payment in 3 X without fees over a period of three consecutive months.

From 3 machines, we offer you payment in 4 X without fees over a period of four consecutive months.

To benefit from the best rates, you can group together. In this case, it is important that only one of the people in the group serves as a single contact and ensures the payment(s). We specify that there will then be only one shipment of all models ordered to a single address or delivered to a trade fair.

We are counting on you to subscribe massively to this project in order to reach the objective of 200 copies necessary to validate this participatory subscription.

We hope that this friendly machine, which can be used on all networks, small or large, pleases you, that it can see the light of day thanks to your participation and that the French Zero advances another step towards a wider distribution.
